Site Rules
1) After joining the site, you must have read all of the rules, the plot, and anything else you have to.
2) USE OOC. “Out of Character” must be used if roleplaying.
Example: ( This is fun, huh?)
Jill walked across the plains slowly before stopping and turning around.
3) This site is made for writers who are literate to advanced. Writers must be able to spell to the best of their abilities, write well, and use as little chatspeak as possible in OOC. Posts or replies must be at least two paragraphs long. PARAGRAPHS ARE FIVE SENTENCES. If you don’t have the muse to reply with that much at the moment, just wait.
4) Do not argue. Please, this is not a brawl fight.
5)Within four days of joining, you must have at least a skeleton or outline of a character sketch posted. It doesn't have to be fully filled out if you're still working on it. It must be finished within a week of you having joined, though.
6)Your signature should not link to any offsite links. Your signature should also NOT stretch a board. It is prohibited for it to do so.
Roleplay Rules
1) No Powerplay.
2) No Godmoding.
3) NO MARYSUES OR GARYSUES.
4) This site is rated PG-13. Graphic sexual content will not be tolerated (we all known teenagers will do it, so just lead off or continue on PM). Cursing will be tolerated, but only to an extent (not every two words every single post… only every two words on occasion). Also, violence will be tolerated to an extent.
5) There is no character limit. If you can keep up with them... go for it!
6) When you're asked for a character's appearance description, we will NOT accept a picture of a cartoon. Face claim is used on this site. We BEG that you try your best to find a face claim that IS NOT common (ex.- Miley Cyrus).
7) All roleplay must be in third-person. Sorry if this is a disappointment, but it eliminates a LOT of confusion.
8) Everyone must make a new account for every character they make. This will unscramble quite a lot of confusion. This account must have the same gender as your character. STAFF MEMBERS may have a seperate account for their admin powers.
9) Please do not stretch the board with your signature. 500x300 should be the largest signature. Please, nothing too obscene for signatures.
Plot Rules
1) In this roleplay, everyone has one of eight powers. No, you don't show up and have these mystical powers that you've made up. Read the clan page to have more of an explanation.
2) Teachers are graduated students, not unicorns or normal people. The powers explained in the clan page apply to these teachers, but they have mastered their abilities.
3) Children do not use their powers very much. They tend to drain them, so don't go around throwing rocks or flame balls thinking it's so easy. (Alright, maybe the rocks are).
4) These are teenagers. Drama, hate, love, everything will occur. We may even have some pregnancies. Just keep in mind that you cannot drop out of this school. Also, keep in mind that a clan and their opposite hate each other, so a Fire clan boy and a Water clan girl PROBABLY won't date.
5) Men are the higher rank in this world. Women are weaker in everyone's eyes, but some of the most powerful positions CAN be filled by women. This comes from the fact that the world's worst disasters are blamed on the Goddesses, not the Gods.
6) Before roleplaying, please get a schedule. FaceTwist will give this to you.
7) Every year brings a new ability to a student. As they advance in grades, their powers expand.
8) Teachers will be given their own subboards. Please request one over PM if you are not immediately given one in the building they teach in.
9) The buildings are pretty self explanatory. Your educational classes (english, math, etc.) are all taught in the Educational building. The physical elements (fire, water, earth, air) are taught in the Physical building, while the mental elements are taught in the Mental building (darkness, light, spirit, energy). The Fitness building contains gym class, horseback riding, swimming, sports, fencing, wrestling, etc.
10) Just because the dorms are co-ed, doesn't mean you'll be in a room of an opposite sex. Girls will share rooms with girls. Sorry.
11) Once again, this is a North American school, so make sure your character speaks English!
12) Many students from other countries or such transfer to this academy branch purely for the pride of being in the most popular branch. So characters could be from any continent, country, etc.
